About Kerkplein 3

This national monument from 1895, designed by architect H.P. Berlage is owned by Urban Interest since 2017

During an intensive renovation in 2018, this former office was made suitable for the establishment of the ibis Styles Den Haag City Center hotel. The hotel has been designed in a way that does justice to the historical character of the building. General Manager ibis Styles The Hague City Center, Lucas Ensing says:

The unique thing about this hotel is the feeling you are entering a museum. For example, the old staircase is still completely intact and we even have the original furniture in on of the meeting rooms. This location is the ideal place for a stay in the political heart of the Netherlands with the stations The Hague Central and The Hague HS within walking distance. After 9 years of vacancy, this beautiful monumental building is now finally being done justice. Previously it was an office building and no one could view it, but now that it is a hotel it is open to anyone who wants to enjoy it.

The Berlage building has also been the home base for long-term tenant office supplies specialist Berlage for more than 100 years, and the Greek specialty restaurant Knossos has also been located here since 1985, both on the ground floor.
