About Shopping Centre De Savornin Lohmanplein

The phased renovation of De Savornin Lohmanplein shopping centre, known as ’t SAV, is continuing to take shape.

One key milestone in this city-centre area development project is the completion of the Bellavista residential complex. In early 2019 we entered phase two, switching the focus to many retail outlets. As well as expanding the retail surface area of the Albert Heijn and ALDI supermarkets, the Health Spa is also set to gain more space so clients can enjoy an even better experience. A few more new units will also be made available, creating more diversification. We are relocating certain outlets or store entrances, in consultation with the retailers, to improve the free flow of pedestrians in the area. All 38 shops will remain open during the renovation, continuing to serve their customers.

Almost every part of ’t SAV is getting a makeover , with the goal of future-proofing the shopping centre and bringing it into line with the market. Future phases will see the rooftop car park renovated and the lifts upgraded. Two ‘tapis roulant’ moving walkways will be integrated into the shopping centre so that visitors, including many older people, will easily be able to take their shopping trolleys to and from the parking deck on the roof. The renovation is expected to be completed by mid-2021.
