Urban Interest has been the building’s proud new owner since 2016. Once the meticulous planning process was complete, in September 2018 our team of real estate specialists began the large-scale renovation and transformation of the property.

New and modern look for the shopping centre in the Stevenshof district in Leiden, after a thorough renovation of the shopping centre dating from 1968.

The renovated shopping centre has shops and sports functions at ground level. This plinth contains two new residential blocks (39 houses each) and 10 so-called backpack houses.

The shopping centre was outdated, poorly maintained, and many shops were empty. Renewing, expanding and changing the retail mix was necessary for the mall's viability.

The phased renovation of De Savornin Lohmanplein shopping centre, known as ’t SAV, is continuing to take shape. In early 2019 we entered phase two, switching the focus to many retail outlets.
