Urban Interest acquires Wereldhave’s assets in WoensXL Eindhoven
28 March 2020Eindhoven’s second-biggest shopping centre now has a new co-owner, following Urban Interest’s recent acquisition of the centre from Wereldhave.
Urban Interest sees a future for local and city centres in the current dynamic retail market, and that’s why the real estate investor and developer is investing in WoensXL. Urban Interest intends to implement an active retail management policy and is looking forward to putting that policy into practice in the near future. The shopping centre’s tenants include H&M, van Haren, ANWB, SpecSavers, Douglas, Blokker, Norah, Hunkemöller, Lucardi and Hans Anders and it offers over 40,000 square metres of retail space, of which Urban Interest now owns around 10,000.
“Consumers will always need amenities such as shops and catering establishments close to where they live and work. That is especially true in a location with great accessibility and parking facilities, such as WoensXL” – Krijn Taconis, Commercial Director at Urban Interest.
